Chief: A Film BY Kathrin Höhne and Bjarte Gismarvik.
Chief is a collaboration between artists Kathrin Höhne and Bjarte Gismarvik. The film Chief is about Jim Lambert and his motorcycle, an Indian Chief 1947. In the film Lambert candidly recounts his emotional attachment to the motorcycle, and his rationale for officially declaring it as a piece of art. When I am on a motorcycle, I don't think retrospectively. I am thinking only in future tense I don't think anybody has ever studied the brain during the process of a motorcycle-run. But strange things happen. Strange processes take place. I have been motorcycling for thirty years, but when I get off a bike, even after a thirty minute run, I always have a slight nervous shake in my hand.
